Oftentimes, families prefer to coordinate times for each of them to visit&nbsp; and check up on the loved one prior to looking at care options. Additionally, asking your loved one questions about how they would feel with extra help and if they are open to that idea. Asking them what their typical daily routine is and where extra help could be useful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are different levels of care available from Happier at Home and many other in-home senior care providers. It can be overwhelming and confusing when researching all of the different levels of care. We created this guide that will allow you decipher what level of care your loved one may need with the questions below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to Consider: Companion Care&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Companion care is the first level of care available. A few questions when considering companion care are related to everyday tasks. Can your loved one hear the phone ring? Do they keep their spaces clean? Do they tend to do their yard work? Do they do their own laundry? Can they drive safely? Are they socializing? Can they keep track of finances? If applicable, are they caring for a pet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the answer to any or a few of the questions above is no, considering Companion care services would be beneficial to them when it comes to everyday tasks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to Consider: Personal Care&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Happier at Home, we promote independence by assisting with bathing, grooming and dressing. There is no need to move into a facility when we will support your loved one where they wish to stay with Personal Care services. A few questions when considering personal care services are: does your loved one get out of bed easily? Can they bathe safely and regularly? Do they maintain overall good hygiene? Do they take their prescriptions as directed? Do they prepare meals regularly? Can they manage their illness needs?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the answer to any or a few of the questions above is no, considering Personal Care services could be beneficial to them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the level of care required is determined, we will work to create a care plan that aligns with the needs of the client, keeping the family in close communication.
