These people need a well- thought-out emergency plan to include an emergency preparedness kit.\u00a0<strong> Consider your loved ones\u2019 medical conditions and medications when developing this kit and the following suggestions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two Weeks supply of medications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gallons of water&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food supply of non-perishable food<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Battery-powered or hand crank radio or a Weather Radio, batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flashlight, disc lights and extra batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First aid kit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plastic sheeting and duct tape to localize heat in one room<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moist towelettes and garbage bags for personal sanitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual can opener for food<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand warmers, blankets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cell phone with solar charger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical needs:<ul><li>Oxygen<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medications, glucose tabs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the event of needing to leave the home, bring:<ul><li>Medication<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Oxygen<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Eyeglasses<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Hearing aids and extra batteries<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assistive technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copies of legal documents: Medicare, Medicaid and SS cards, lists of emergency contacts,\u00a0list of medications, doctors, and pharmacies.
