{"id":1781,"date":"2023-01-03T10:50:40","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T15:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/happier-at-home.mysites.io\/?p=1781"},"modified":"2023-01-03T10:50:40","modified_gmt":"2023-01-03T15:50:40","slug":"routine-health-screenings-look-to-your-community-pharmacies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/happierathome.com\/dev_staging\/routine-health-screenings-look-to-your-community-pharmacies\/","title":{"rendered":"Routine Health Screenings at Community Pharmacies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the pandemic, many adults either couldn\u2019t get their necessary health screenings completed or avoided them.&nbsp; Now is an opportune time to catch up on your health screenings and make them part of your healthcare routine.&nbsp; Recently your community pharmacies have pharmacists that practice in outpatient settings to perform screenings such as blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol.&nbsp; Work with your healthcare provider to understand if you need the following screenings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\" start=\"1\">\n<li><strong><u>Osteoporosis<\/u><\/strong>&#8211; Dexascan as baseline. Risk factors: menopause, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, more than 2 alcoholic drinks\/day<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong><u>Eye Exams<\/u><\/strong>&#8211; Every 1-2 years. Risk factors: congenital malformations, diabetes, high blood pressure, autoimmune conditions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong><u>Skin Exams<\/u><\/strong>&#8211; Once a year.
