In fact, there are programs and associations dedicated to helping seniors in every aspect of their lives, and in every state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here in Rochester, NY we have an abundance of resources to support us as we age;&nbsp;<u>lists of these resources<\/u>&nbsp;can be found on-line at sites such as:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theelderpages.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/www.theelderpages.com<\/a>&nbsp;which is a service of GRAPE, Greater Rochester Area Partnership for the Elderly<\/li><li>New York Connects&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyconnects.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.nyconnects.ny.gov<\/a>&nbsp;administered by Lifespan.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How does one find them across the country.&nbsp; Here are ideas of where to start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>County Office of the Aging\/Area Agency on Aging<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aging.ny.gov\/local-offices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/aging.ny.gov\/local-offices<\/a>&nbsp;This is often the first place to start<ul><li>Home services resource<\/li><li>Health insurance counseling<\/li><li>Financial counseling<\/li><li>Transportation<\/li><li>Much, much more!<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Senior Centers<\/strong><ul><li>Often provide meeting areas for Office of the Aging, so you can talk about multiple resources at once<\/li><li>Offer many programs: transportation, wellness, social activities, educational programs, etc.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Seniors Real Estate Specialists or SRES.
