I was born in Monrovia, Liberia, and came to the United States as a young girl filled with hope, curiosity, and belief in brighter opportunities. Early on, I learned the value of hard work and came to understand a guiding truth: after a lifetime of service, every person deserves dignity, compassion, and exceptional care.
My passion for serving older adults began in high school while volunteering at senior bingo nights through the Kennett Square Fire Company. Listening to their stories and building meaningful connections helped me discover my purpose—caring for others and helping people feel valued. My journey forward was built on grit and perseverance. While attending college full-time, I worked both a full-time job and a part-time caregiving position. I pushed through long days and demanding schedules with a clear vision: to graduate with minimal student debt and invest in my future. That determination paid off when I purchased my first investment property in cash-a milestone that strengthened my belief in what hard work can create.
Over the past decade, I have built a career in healthcare and human services, growing from a Direct Support Professional into leadership roles. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, both rooted in my commitment to respectful, person-centered care.
I’ve been fortunate to form deep relationships with many remarkable individuals and families. One of the most meaningful was with Jean, who became family during the years she spent in my care. In her honor, I named my business Jean’s Care, LLC, representing the many “Jeans” who deserve compassionate, dependable support. This work is more than a business—it is a mission grounded in gratitude, respect, and service.
Today, through Happier at Home, I am honored to give back to the nation that gave me so much. Helping seniors remain safe, independent, and comfortable in the place they love most—home—is not just my career, but my promise.
Outside of work, I find joy in nature, tending to plants, and watching movies based on true stories. I’m a proud foodie who loves exploring new cuisines, cooking, and bringing people together over a great meal. I enjoy spending time with loved ones and visiting family and friends in Pennsylvania, cherishing every moment with the people I love.
